World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The upgrade option allows players to boost the gear rating of an item up 700 points, and then add a final bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory before heading to the kiln.
Certain items can be upgraded to benefit from their unique stats (like a perfectly broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not change significantly after an upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats, such as crit chance, attack damage as well as PvE and PvP damage. They also have a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. In addition, many weapons have a set bonus which is activated when three or more of the same weapon are present on a unit. This bonus could exceed the damage a weapon upgrade can do on its own.
A weapon's upgrade costs depend on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For example the weapon with a +2 rating will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while an upgrade of +3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue increase until it is required to use a higher tier of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.
Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. This is usually a positive thing, but it can also have negative effects. For items that only see use in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them can render them useless unless you have an extremely fortunate roll.
Armor items can also be upgraded to boost their stats. This can boost the defense base of a chest or helm while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor also has an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it could roll back to a lower number.
The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading, along with the relative value of those stats. This means that an upgrade from a sword with 8 damage to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining 33% attack damage. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will strike 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button on the item menu, using the circling arrows. This will reroll the item and alter its stats however, it will not reset the weapon's level nor bind to account status.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make a huge difference to your survivability. Certain sets can offer massive improvements in the resistance to curses, poison and fire as well as magic. This makes it easier to get through difficult terrains. In general, the greater defense your character has, the more value you will get from each point of health you possess and it's crucial to improve your armor as much as you can.
To upgrade your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four fountains in all, and each requires you to complete a unique side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've done the main side quest and have completed the fountain that corresponds you'll be able to contact any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrade menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees required to complete each level will differ. In general, you'll need at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For instance the Champion Leathers could be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep up with a decent-sized group of adversaries in most cold environments and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, granting you enough protection to withstand a full on raid with a handful of friends.
It isn't possible to upgrade armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior, you should focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical strength or spell power. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still be wearing by the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town and you will be able to unlock perks for your armor. Generally, you'll want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is useful to have some improvements to the helmets and chest armor that permit you to sneak past certain monsters.
Potions
Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed give the player a temporary status effect. There are five types of potions, each with a specific set of effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to increase their level of effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.
Upgrades to potion require a certain amount XP. This can be obtained through crafting them on a craft table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion as well as the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI which allows you to choose the potion that you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they will offer when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.
When a poton is upgraded in quality, it will not deteriorate unless you use it again or break the bottle in which it is kept. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.
item upgrader introduced a few modifications to the way potions are used. Splash potions for instance have now a duration of zero, not the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display for the item. The table for potion is now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players in Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. The same applies to using a potion within an empty cauldron. This will draw out the potion, and refill the bottle.
Lastly, there are now lingering potions, which are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can be added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The potion table is now arranged more like the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including the potion of leaping and the decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket is a small and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to an object or ornament that serves a function but is not particularly important such as a trinket. In some cultures, a trinket can be used to show affection or friendship between family members.
Trinkets can be upgraded by players as well as weapons or armor, as well as potions. They can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. In contrast to other upgrades for items trinkets, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their status.

Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of each zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available using tokens, gold or fragments of trinkets that are rare.
The upgrade of a trinket can be a cost-effective alternative to purchasing an entirely new one. You can upgrade a trinket for as little 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same level of base as the old trinket, but it also comes with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.
Once the old Trinkets have become no longer usable they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase both their power and value with time. They can also be traded between players, making them an attractive alternative to gold.
In general players should make upgrades to their most important items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are upgraded first then their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment they won't be replacing anytime soon (such as an earring or a cloak). When deciding which items to upgrade players should also consider the preferred statistics of their class. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player then they should consider upgrading their helm, chest and shoulders.
Once they have become useless trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional 1percent bonus. However, a re-upgrade will destroy the old trinket until it is salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still cheaper than purchasing a new one.
